The IBGP, with the theme "The Biology of Human Disease," is a unique graduate program that replaced all of the departmental graduate programs within the College.

This College-wide graduate program has an extremely strong Graduate Faculty composed of over 170 members from 19 departments. These faculty members bring to the program extraordinary research and teaching expertise and outstanding research resources that will be available to our graduate students. All of this is within the framework of The Ohio State University, one of the foremost research universities in the country.

IBGP research opportunities are strengthened by our partnership with Columbus Children's Research Institute (CCRI). Located on the campus of Columbus Children's Hospital and staffed by members of the Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine and Public Health, CCRI provides an outstanding research and training environment, with opportunities ranging from basic molecular biology to patient-oriented clinical research. In recent years, 12% of the College graduate students have been trained by faculty based at CCRI.
