Research interests

My research is focused on cancer prevention and therapy through use of compounds with anti-inflammatory activity. Our epidemiologic and preclinical investigations continue to indicate that nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) have significant antineoplastic activity against cancers of the breast, prostrate, colon, lung, and many other neoplasms, principally through blockade of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and other molecular targets of the inflammatory cascade.
