Research interests

The primary focus of Dr. Billman?s laboratory is to investigate the mechanisms responsible for ventricular fibrillation induced by either myocardial ischemia or cocaine toxicity. Particular emphasis is placed on the role that changes in ion channels and intracellar calcium homeostasis play in these malignant arrhythmias.
