Research interests

The main focus of the laboratory concerns the biology of the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane conductance Regulator (CFTR), a chloride channel implicated in Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The most common mutation causing CF is due to a trafficking defect of the CFTR protein that fails to reach the plasma membrane and is retained in the endoplasmic reticulum. Our research focuses on the trafficking of CFTR, and understanding the role of protein-protein interaction in the biosynthesis pathway of CFTR.
